I first met Barrie several years ago when my husband had some money to invest in a pension. Needing a Financial Advisor, Barrie was chosen as he is independent, authorised and regulated by the FCA and was fairly local to us.
When Barrie arrived, it was decided that two heads were better that one, and the three of us sat together as he went through the options available and the possible benefits or risks involved with each one.
With Barrie’s valuable guidance a pension was chosen.
To my mind Barrie was thorough, incredibly patient and extremely knowledgeable, but then he has been in the business for many years.
In 2019 and in need of an IFA myself, I called Barrie. If ever there was a wrong time to invest in a pension, lockdown was it. But Barrie found the patience, which I didn't have at the time. He worked tirelessly to get the pension I wanted. Even though it meant waiting endlessly for companies to answer the phone, and in my case Data Protection was quoted incorrectly, resulting in a complete breakdown in the flow of information back and forth. Barrie dealt with it all.
I would not hesitate in recommending Barrie to anyone. This is the second time in my mind he has done an amazing job. Every penny I have spent has been worth it.
My small pension is doing well and I retain Barrie to keep it that way.
